The main things is the new stadium gets built and Salford City Reds play Engage Super League in it, my main concern is that it's not even been started on yet and the owners Peel Holding are to blame for this not Salford City Reds.
So whats the crack with this new ground then? Have you/Peel got the money to build it? If so what's the hold up about?

I love this city, this is my town. We get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud. i love my city this is my town, we get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud

Some person has wrote to the advertiser this week stating their objections to a new Stadium, I quote," Bad enough we are being bullied into a rugby stadium, Salford can't generate enough support to fill a bath never mind a new stdaium."
the bloke lives in Irlam, perhaps this is the type of person we should get to share with us at the stadium but not the bath. Most likely an armchair sports fan, but his letter is on page 30 second letter with his name attached.

We don't have a devine right to say no if it was an option to ground share! instead of looking at the negatives, try focusing on the positives to ground sharing?
FC United fans might be interested in watching rugby! If Sale sharks were to share the ground maybe out of the 8000 who watch Sale sharks, if we were able to attract 10 % to watch Salford that alone would be a big improvement, remember, one game is played in the winter & the other is played in the summer.
After all we are not in a good position to dictate with 3000 fans are we?
Me for one would welcome the idea & actively promote this as a positive outcome. We need to get real, Peel hold all the cards & when we get our new stadium we need to accept Peel will want to promote as much revenue as possible.

Speaking as a Hull FC fan he joint tenancy of a stadium if correctly organised can be seen to be beneficial to both parties. It is essential that priorities are established to avoid fixture clashes, as I understand FC and Hull City both have preference at the end of their own seasons, to the extent Hull City even moved a game once we qualified to play in the Play offs. The negative can be if the stadium management has a vested interest in either party. As per Hull missing out on an international fixture this year.
If the wife said Hull FC or her. Would you miss her?

As I understand it Salford RLFC would own the stadium and any other club such as FCUM, Man Utd reserves or Sale would be our tennants. We would be in control of the important decisions and in comparison to other clubs we would be in a unique situation. Most other rugby clubs appear to be dictated to by their football partners. Hull does seem to be a good working relationship between the two parties however Wigan have had their problems and Oldham have been treated badly by the football club. In that respect it would be great for the club to have full control even if we have a club sharing the stadium.
We Have not got a ground to share with we are getting a bit ahead of are selfs again offering to ground share with a ground that does not excist at the moment and the rate things are going we wont have a ground at all if club dont book its ideas up. When and if the ground happens it will bring in extra revenue for the club to rent to sale sharks and bring more people form outside salford area to bring in more money for them to improve eccles as an whole. So it is a good idea just not an idea that can happen at the moment as we dont have the new ground
