When I went to Flamengo/Sao Paulo a couple of months back I sensibly decided to take a walk around the area surrounding the stadium and almost walked right into a good old-fashioned street battle.
Luckily a policeman ushered me away from the street I was heading down, they were more concerned with keeping anyone else out of it than stopping them having a go at each other.

When I went last year, we got dropped off on Avanida do Maracana. Had something to eat and had a couple of beers outside before going straight into the ground to watch the Flamengo fans all slapping the bust of Garrincha as they walked in.

Paul Scholes was fantastic for United tonight. Anderson, Gibson and Scholes are getting a decent partnership together.
Carrick was very good at CB, and cleared a fair few decent balls into the box. Three great balls in to Owen for his hat-trick, glad he's got a few goals, it'll do his confidence the world of good.
Assist aside, Nani was $hite, he certainly won't have done anything to tell Fergie he should be playing more often. Perhaps he should let his feet do the talking and shut his trap.
