Well, the season in Brazil finished on Sunday. Adriano now linked with West Ham. Diego Tardelli with Manchester City.
But apart from Flamengo winning the league the biggest story to come out of the weekend was the violence in Curitiba after the local side were relagated. See this Article

Possibly, but the English media largely ignored the World Cup cos England were not there thus saving you from having to be subjected to it. We, however, are not protected from it as the English biased media is everywhere.

I heard that earlier on SSN. It'd be interesting to see how he'd do in the PL. I thought he'd "retired" from football anyway?

Edited for accuracy.

He negotiated a release from Internazionale. Then went home and signed for Flamengo. He finished joint top scorer in Série A with 19 goals alongside Diego Tardelli.
I doubt though if he would really want to return to Europe at the moment, especially now with Flamengo in the Copa Libertadores. He may well want another year there to see if he can win that.

There was some trouble after the Flamengo game as well. But that was between different factions apparently and nothing on the scale of what happened in Curitiba
