Brewery Field Limited have submitted an application to play in Championship 1 - which would give a club for our reserves - who are, I believe, being ditched - and which would continue to develop the game in Wales where the Wrexham Cashchasers have abandoned it.
HOWEVER, all of a sudden, the Cashchaser's preferred option of a dependent club operating out of NEATH (whom we dislike) and dependent upon the Cashchasers (whom we dislike) and run by a Mr Hawkes (whom we dislike though not as much as a Mr Samuel) seems to be the RFL's preferred option.
Give us the Bridgend application and we will, in 10 years (max) have a SL ready (emphasis on the READY) S Welsh team.
Try and foist Neath opn us and RL will be dead in S Wales in 1 season and N Wales when the franchises come up next.
S Wales Celtic Crusaders fans would support the side if they lost the franchise because we came UP from the lower leagues.
N Wales Wrexham Cashchasers fans will desert the team WHEN they lose the franchise.
Im sure you are right for the majority but i'll support the crusaders til i die (or the club dies, which ever is soonest) and any attempt to keep rugby league going in south wales will also get my meagre support. The sport cant afford grudges.
