To the Fusiliers that have returned home today. I know someone who was in the parade and am glad to see him home safely. But still sparing a thought to the brave ones who didnt.
Fantastic turn out to greet the great guys home,a cracking Salford welcome, made me feel very proud & brought a tear to the eye.
Some of them had collection boxes & everyone was giving, so much so, the people were shoving money in their pockets as the collection boxes were full it was a great sight to see.
My brother in law was in the parade and my sister went to see him with his 2 young children. they are delighted he is home and they were very proud at the reception the people of Salford gave them. The City gets a lot of stick at times but right now I'm more proud than ever
