Offiah and Eastmond are holding all the aces.
Suppose it depends how much he can prove in one year if you turn it on it's head. Come renegotiation time, he might still be classed as 'potential', and therefore have less bargaining power . If he has 'proved it', we can start talking about a contract worthy of a top class scrum half. Sounds great to me. At least he's not in a Sale shirt To me Saints and Offiah are just treading carefully with 2 years, Offiah not wanting to sell him short for the long term and Saints not wanting to over commit to early for a player who, despite fantastic raw ability, has played very few games at SH and has not yet showed he can direct a team around the field
Looks like all of us were pretty much spot on. Eastmond will play for Saints for the next couple of years while he increases his value, so that he can then demand an even bigger contract from either League or Union.
Nice little plan of action there from Offiah, thank god he isn't S Tomkins's manager.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

He doesn't give a sh*t about these youngs careers aslong as he lines his own pockets.
I have 2 disagree with this one sorry. I know as RL fans we don't like what is happening with Eastmond but from an agents pov he's been good for his clients.
Myler 2 wire=good for Myler
Eastmond extension= good for Eastmond due to the reasons above.
We may not like it but he is opening doors for his clients

Correct. He's doing the best he can for his clients. If he can get eastmond a 5 year deal in union for £125k a year then he's done very well for eastmond. Just as Clarke did for Ashton.

Is a move to Wire a wise move for Mylers career at this point? with all the pressure that comes with that I doubt it is especially as Salford offered him their biggest ever contract to stay and develope in a less pressurised enviroment.
He could have stayed there but Offiah wouldn't have got a cut of the transfer fee then. IMO none of Offiah's clients will ever stay with a club for more then 2 or 3 years because that just won't make him enough money.
I said the other day when Eastmond signed his new contract that Offiah would give it 6 months and then start touting a move to Union again......................I got that wrong! He's already started the ball rolling by talking to the press about how he's been in talks with Jason Robinson about a move for him in the future. He'll be made up if that goes through and not because he'll have made Eastmond a pile of cash but more because he'll again get a cut of any transfer fee that Union will have to pay.
He's looking after himself plain and simple just as all the agents in football do. These agents aren't in the game to look after young players welfare..............they're in it to make a quick buck!
Offiah is touting him towards Union when he's 25. Until then he'll be with Saints. It is up to Saints to keep him in RL as at present the only person talking about Union is Offiah.
Perhaps a change of agent rather than a change of code would be more appropriate.
