Hindpool result wasnt a surprise for us as we are starting to get some players back together now and the lads were gutted as the thought they could have won. After christmas we should be a match for any team in the league. We have been playing games with 12 and 13 men and apart from the Woolston result we have only been losing by the odd try. The result which surprised me was Dalton as i know they travelled with a severely weakened side.

We (Finch) did well against you lot on saturday as we also had quite a few of our better players missing & only had 14 men. It may have been even closer still had they all been available. Story of our season so far though. If we have the full team out I feel we could beat anyone on our day.

Thought you men did well....was a very very poor pitch though saturday, made any sort of rugby match into a free for all...We are coming of the back of 4 defeats were we have been miles below the usual standard...apart from Woolston were I thought we manned up, in total we have lost by 14 points to the best 3 sides in the league and Orrell who a div higher than us in the Lancs cup. So the confidence has taken abit of a knock, was nice to get a win though,as scruffy & ill disciplined as it was. Think you men can kick on from Saturday, although it was clear you were missing a try scorer or two.
Dalton v Woolston should be very interesting this weekend....my coin would have to go with the cumbrians.....take your rope & carabeener!
