Really is an absolute joke when you think about it - laying out around £250 for both combined, but getting nothing through the post for months! Imagine the interest they must have made off thousands of sales of each without actually posting anything out or doing anything really.
You could have spread the payments and paid by monthly standing order!
I've just finished paying for mine.
I had no trouble getting £5-00 off in the shop in Sept/Oct either!

They'll surely have the Club Rovers cards available for the shirt launch though so you can get your discount, otherwise that would be a bit of a shambles.
Nah there's no issue with getting the discount (as another poster said), but admittedly it's still shockingly bad organisation by the club.
Seems like Club Rovers was kinda charged for first then thought out later IMO.
God I bet you're just loving this aren't ya?!

Well it wasn't laying out the cash I resented, it's the whole concept itself. Still feel there was a hint of blackmail i.e. 'Join Club Rovers or your East Stand spot can't be guaranteed'.
Hope I'm proved wrong, but so far the only benefits have been a pair of last season's home socks for £2 instead of £7.

They have funded the elctronic turnstiles with the cash, and, according to Hudge at the web chat they were due to be delivered last week. So that is something they have done with the cash as a payment of some kind must have been made to have them manufactured. The cards themselvs will have also had a downpayment required to manufacture with the balance 30 days after delivery, I would expect. So all in all the cash has not all been sat in rovers bank making money, but it would be another revenue stream the club could use.
Mrs Barista wrote:Since there is a risk that the proper documentation is not ready for the biggest merchandise opportunity of the year, let's hope it runs smoothly. Imagine the confusion if the cards are ready near the date of the shirt launch, some people have collected them, some haven't, a mixture of computerised and manual systems to track who has and hasn't claimed, some people being unable to claim, others claiming twice. Bit like the old "you will receive a £5 voucher in September" extravaganza. Still, you know what Hudgell means when he says the fans don't really understand Club Rovers yet.

I'll help you out if you like. You post the inconsistencies in the numbers and I'll provide the reconciliation and explanation. If you take the HDM's word over mine on this one, you've really lost it
