This defeat proves Wigan do need to strenthen in January.
Despite conceding 9, our defence isn't usually too bad, but Edman was atracious and doesn't look Premier League quality at the moment.
We need to add some firepower up front without a doubt. Personally and realistically I would go for Raul Tamudo. He's a proven goalscorer and is unsettled at Espanyol.

In truth, if Wigan Athletic's first team played their reserves, they'd probably win 9-1 too.

The keeper must have shouted but clearly not loud enough.

It was, as I said earlier on this thread, definitely Jussi's fault. He has no need to be outside of the penalty box it's just nonsense. For the record and I've seen him plenty of times over the past 10 years, he's a great shot-stopper but unfortunately not the best communicator.

Credit to the Wigan fans though, as my missus said that pretty much all of them stayed to the bitter end.
Tbh, I don't think Wigan are that bad a side, think it was just one of them games where everything clicked for Spurs coupled with some bad defending which Martinez will want to eradicate.
