Id rather we make stars than buy them, if he does turn into a star which he could be he'll go to the next level he'll take us with him, its a win win situation for me.
Holdsworth will be a good signing for Salford IMO.
He played a few games last year for the Dogs and he played in the first game of the finals against the Knights at halfback when Kimmorley was injured, always plays okay when i've seen him, just cant get infront of Kimmorley and Roberts but there both top players who are internationals.
Not for a long time although the point stands re why he hasn't got in the team.

As I said to a few people this afternoon I'm not sure we should be too concerned with our overseas recruitment looking over the past 6 years. Yes we've had a few shockers but not as many as some would like you to believe!
From my memory since 2003.
Berne
Borgese
Caine
Cashmere
Gower
Henry

Langi
Leuluai

And then add to that those we've brought in from clubs over here;
Beverley

You have to think that he has been brought in to play at 7 or 9 as cant see any openings injuries aside at 6 or 13. Though he does look a very decent signing and he will surely be one of the first names on the sheet with his versatility and his ability to kick goals.
Talking of which who is likely to be the number one choicer kicker now that Wilshere has left?.

As a Bolton Wanderers fan, news of us announcing D. Holdsworth as our new 'big signing' is enough to send a shiver down my spine?!
However, he looks like he has potential to go well for us. His versatility and kicking game will be of great benefit and he's also young ... and hungry apparently?!

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

From a Leyther?! The team who've just mananged to fluke their way out of the third division?!? The team whose fans are getting very excited about signing a teenager from Leigh Miners?!?! And you're trying to ridicule our signings?!?!?!
How's life in your glass house?

Would be delighted if we got another prop (stosic maybe) along with Broughton then we would have competition for starting 17 spots
