Backs: Briscoe, Colbon, Webster, Welham, Fox. Cockayne and Ratu as cover. Mariano coming through.
Halfbacks: Cooke and Dobson. I'anson as cover. Spaven coming through.
Props: Vella. Then Wheeldon and Lovegrove. Mills?. Watts and Beaumont coming through. Utility forward Netherton to be needed here more than the 2nd row. Hookers: Fisher and Hodgson. Cockayne, Murrell and I'anson to cover. Back row: Newton, Galea, Murrell, Cook, Walker, with Taylor coming through.
Think it looks strong apart from the front row. Vella is top notch and Fisher underrated but could really do with Mills at least getting back to his steady, if unspectacular, form of 2008 and Watts starting to fulfil the potential he showed then. I notice Welham made the RLW team of the season, btw. Well done to him on that.

Seriously, though, Fisher is 1st choice hooker (in the regular season, anyway, play-off requirements are a bit different, apparently). Then there's Cockayne, who is senior in squad terms to Hodgson, and now the consensus seems to be that Murrell will be first pick. 4th choice hooker is effectively what he was at Hull.

Being "on a promise" and being promised something are slightly different. Since you have 5 hookers and of those players Hodgson and Spaven are the most junior you have plenty of options.

I agree, we all thought he punched well beneath his weight but he was steadyish. although he did become a scapegoat for any bad performance, would be good to see him up his game.

Once again I find myself agreeing with you, Im not to sure though if I'anson will be used as first choice cover, as Galea does a very good job when covering our half backs.
I don't see it as a job. It is a passion and love that we all share. Neil Hudgell
