But its not an asset you can put down on a balance sheet is it, look at your gates only a few seasons ago, they were down to as low as 4,500. Anything can happen as anyone who has followed either us or FC for over 40 yrs can testify to, the recent additions seem to think 13,500 is something you have averaged since 1865.

I agree, I am in no doubts our gates have improved since you got promotion, the rivalry brings them out in their droves for both teams. Both clubs had a great following in the 80s when we both flew high, like I have said I hope it gets sorted with you guys as it benefits both clubs to both be in top flight.

dont accountants refer to this as 'goodwill' when valuing a company? the value of a customer base, based on branding etc is where most companys make their value. in terms of efficiency, the 'leanest' (least wasteful) companys have no assets.
and if you look at football clubs, youll probably find that the clubs who are most attractive to foreign investors are the ones deamed to have the strongest and least elastic fan bases

On that definition all the FC squad could be included.
