I don't think Rovers would make that much money compared to having it at home.
It wouldn't sell out for a start, maybe get 15k tops.
£6k of that would be HKR pass holders, so no additional revenue there.
Bars/food outlet revenue goes to the SMC (?).
You'd definately have to pay something to cover the costs of stewarding, corporate hospitality staff etc. Just because it's a community stadium doesn't mean Rovers can just borrow it free of charge.

I suggested this a while ago and it was very unpopular with the Rovers fans that replied. However, unless Rovers fans are upset enough to boycott or Hull are really struggling I think it'd get a decent gate. Maybe not a sell-out, but 18-20k, I'd guess. Rovers could sell it as taking enemy territory, as a one off. That is 8-10k more than could be expected at CP, meaning something like an extra £120k (at least), minus costs. Anybody know how much it costs Hull to stage a fixture there?

Still unpopular with me, (so that's it then, my word is final! ) it just wouldn't be right, extra money or not.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I know what you are saying, but you and I aren't pumping in half a million each year. Rovers played league derbies over a number of years at Boothferry, way back (50s, I think), so it isn't without precedent. They were regarded as a success at the time from what I've read.
Probably nowt in it anyway and even if there is there'd be a couple of obstacles to overcome - as alluded to above, by others.

I realise the not so bright from over the river frequently refer to events happening at Craven Park, wether true or not, to try and justify to themselves Rovers are struggling etc. The same posters fail to realise the same situation has been happening at the KC and their shop over the last couple of years without them needing to blow things out of proportion.
They were the first club in the city to make staff redundant from their shop in the city, they to have shelved a warm weather trip abroad this season and plans for a state of the art training facillity (and i don't mean Gordon street gym ) has been knocked back. And many of the know all fans insist they failed to spend anywhere near their salary cap for the last couple of seasons.
Put anything under the spotlight and give it a little spin.......
