Agreement for future rugby at the KC is not an asset, neither is a fan base! Do you own your new training facility?

as far as im aware, our new trainig facility will be jointly owned/purchased by fc and the nhs.....
and lets be honest, playing at the kc is an asset, cus if we didnt have that agreement then we could be homeless next season if the crap hit the fan...also our fan base, we attract 13500 last year average. culmintaing in over £1mill worth of merchandise sales..id say thats an assett only some clubs could dream off wouldnt you??

Depends on your definition of asset. They are not assets in the financial sense. If FC went bust (heaven forbid!), what would the creditors do with your fanbase? Sell it to Rovers?

I believe our only asset in a financial sense is Gordon Street School. What assets do Rovers have?

They're liabilities aren't they? Do Hulls accounts show them as assets? Wouldn't that give a very misleading headline figure? Do other clubs do this? Do Rovers do this?...or have I just mis-understood the accounting principles involved here? Questions for Mrs B I think.

The fanbase is the biggest asset any sports team have, they are the ones who buy passes, pay to attend, buy merchandise, basically support the club.Sponsors are attracted to a large fan base, it promotes them to a bigger audience.
Hence Hudge saying he wants to get 10000, that is how he will generate money.

Guess he was talking tangible fixed asset as per a balance sheer/P&L.

Fans cant be quantified as such and officially arent an asset. The revenue generated from them will be down on a forecast sheet somewhere though.
