some interesting answers there.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

:?

You claim we have had a share of £43.5 million "lavished" upon us. Or are you speaking in some sort of code? Do I need an enigma machine to work it out?

Amazing isn't it? Mind you, the chairperson that helped save your club and take to them to their third challenge cup triumph and profitability has been known to get a bit of stick. It must be something in the water.

Bobbin' Along wrote:Well, considering 3 seasons ago we were in NL1 a period of stabilising in SL isn't the end of the world.

Exactly. If we are spending near the cap, then we have some room to cut costs at least. As the 11th placed club in 2007 we'll have paid a premium to attract players during our last major recruitment drive (while at the other end of the scale Leeds and i suspect Saints squads play for less than their market value). That will be gone next time, I'd assume. The 'relocation to Hull' premium will remain, but hopefully we are starting to bring through more local talent, to mitigate that.

That would cut losses, assuming crowds weren't hit too badly (as he said it is a difficult balancing act), but not enough to make a dramatic difference to moving forward with the North stand development, I'd guess. That is going to require investment from partners, which in these economic times won't be easy. There is a way to make the Board's lobbying easier...

Doubt the council will be able to help you in anyway, they are looking at savings themselves and will have to make some tough decisions (with regards services and jobs) over the forthcoming months.

Anyone ask Hudge if the SMC had been approached about moving your home derby to the KC next season?

Thought he came across well in that, Hudgell has been the best Chairman for over 20 years so I've no reason to disbelieve what he says. I'm sure that he's making things look as good as they possibly can be, though having said that, why not?

Everyone with any sense has said that the key to a successful future for the club is to invest in a decent youth set up, this appears to be starting to be the case. After that we won't need to be paying a premium for journeymanesque type players and will be able to rely on youth, wheeler dealing and the odd marquee signing.

Sort the ground, finance the debt, job's a good 'un!

Easy as that!

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas

Spot on. There's a debate to be had i guess as to whether now is the right time to do that, or whether it should have been done last year or the year before. The debts growing isnt it while the ground is getting sorted. Guess the first hurdle was getting a SL licence and now the challenge is to keep it by expanding the ground and becoming self-sustainable.

Expanding the ground is fine but if they don't then get 10,000 every week it's more debt if they self fund it and another big nail in the coffin.
