Guess it depends what you qualify as success, an improvement on consitent performance and position last year will do for me, I think were capable of that! Maybe a decent cup run too!

Yes, there is enough quality in the playing staff this season to take us to the next level, whether they have the belief, the passion and the ability to cope with the pressure which that brings remains to be seen.
Mental toughness is the key, its a good thing that part of our preseason is due to take place at a army base somewhere, i reaily hope the players are put through their paces and are broken down by the officers in charge and it doesnt just turn into the kripton factor, ive met a few solders in my time and they are the most focused and disaplined people ive ever met, they never let anythin stop them achievin their goals both individually and as a team, get that installed into our playing staff early doors will go a long way to shape how our season will be played out.

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr

Who? As far as I can tell we are gonna have to cobble a back line together that looks something like - 1. Fitzy, 2. Henry, 3. Talau, 4. Gibson, 5. McGilvray, 6. M. Smith 7. Ratchford. I'm happy to be corrected about the possible line up but any way you do it it looks grim. That's without even looking at the possible horror show that is the forwards. I'm not bothering commenting on that army bit of your post.
