Webb was a star long before he came to Leeds. Take away his back problem and he would not be far behind Slater.

Briscoe is a good fullback but not in the same class as Webb, Greenshields or Hodgson.

Tansey IMO has a hell of alot to prove as a full back.

Greenshields and Hodgson I'll give you and Webb of a few years ago.

Webb's defensive liabilities are what's covered up most by the other players at Leeds, he doesn't organise well and is always liable to get himself into serious trouble in a one on one. Luckily due to their excellent defense this doesn't happen that often.

Depends what you want from a full back I suppose, with the creativity we've got in the halves, second row with Galea, at loose with Murrell and occasionaly at hooker with Fitzhenry (last season) I often thought we had too many cooks, (leave it!) in that scenario, a defensive solid full back is what I'd take as we had a noticable problem being broken in defence between second row and centre all season.

We're a long way from the sort of Champagne rugby that Leeds produce where you can afford the luxury of Webb.

I agree, he looks like he has a lot of potential in the role, we will see how he gets on next season.

He is getting a real hyping up over on your board.

briscoe works for hkr because they play a ball handler at 13, we dont so tansey fits the bill.

briscoe better than hodgson?

Briscoe is a more reliable full-back than Hodgson without a doubt. They play different roles at their respective clubs and Hodgson is played as a third half back so has more influence on his sides attacking play.

But as an out and out full-back i'd take Briscoes reliability over Hodgsons all the time.

Laugh all you like, it easy to fill your side full of aussies but you're only allowed 5 remember

Fact is Hodgson makes too many mistakes.
