A couple of our more recent old-boys had differing afternoons in last weekends National Conference Premier Division fixture between Oulton Raiders and Widnes St Maries.

Whilst Raiders full back Scott McDonald saw red for an alleged trip, team-mate Matt Handforth proved to be the match winner with a last minute penalty as the home side beat the Saints 18-16.

Carlos Sanchez made up a trio of Raiders who turned out for the Dons towards the end of last season.

I thought Sanchez did ok when he turned out for us last year, does anyone know if he is being considered for a contract or if he has already been asked?

Agree with Willow tree looked a good prospect.

Sanchez like a few others not kept on he was probably too creative and passed the ball, god forbid!!!

What was wrong with keeping Craig Holt and Craig Jones, both came in did a good job and showed plenty of potential, we talk of growing local players yet given the opportunity we seem to dump them!!

Good call. I really liked the look of Craig Holt. He had really bulked up and had good potential, anyone know where he is destined for next year if he hasn't signed for us?
