He's the Australian version of Paul Wellens.

I once remember what a someone said about Frank Stapleton of Arsenal and Man Utd fame: that when he gets out of bed in the morning he goes to the mirror and smiles .............just to get it over and done with.

Yeah you're right: BUT I have to say that Shaun Edwards was a really great guy off the field. He did a lot of work for the club I was chairman of and was always polite and apologetic if he couldn't do something.

I know what you mean though. I don't know anything about Hanley except bumping into him in Bulldog Sports in Leeds with Daley Thompson.

And the answer to the second question is: No I don't know that he isn't a great bloke off the field.

He was just a mouthy to$$er when he didn't get his own way. It's something I really hate. Dissent, it never gets you anywhere, and despite Refs being professional or not, they are going to clock you easier if you re-offend.

Sadly (as some of the guys of the forum quite rightly say) it seems to be creeping into our game. I know the stakes are higher these days but I would hope we never get to the same situation that soccer is in where there is nothing genuine about them or their claims, including their price tags.
