Shaun Briscoe is the best British fullback. One quiet game doesn't change that. This international series should be viewed as a stepping stone for the future and a chance to solidify the new squad. Smith has gone - pointless investing playing time on him now. Pointless him being in the squad in the first place IMO.

Our Tom Briscoe with his size, strength and form should also retain his place over Fox.

Don't often agree, but cannot find fault with any of that.
