Won't be catching the first couple of games live but have booked off all next week so we definitely see the final game. I'm hoping for a seven game thriller and don't think it's beyond the realms of fantasy given how how the bats are for these two teams. Potentially this has the makings of one for the ages and could even rival the Reds-Red Sox series if it lives up to expectations.

Should be a cracker. The Phillies hit like an AL team and with the way the Yankees are getting men on base, I wouldn't be surprised to see the games run to the 4 hour mark (before extra innings).

Looks like this might be a series too far for the Phillies. poop or bust tonight.
Closer to home, the Jays are definitely gearing up for a write off 2010 season as we rebuild. We're heading into the season with a manager that has already announced his retirement at the end of 2010. I'm assuming Halliday is on his way and with him goes the main reason for keeping pithcing coach Brad Aarnsberg, who has just taken a position with the Astros. You can bet we'll be looking for prospects in return for Doc. I now also expect them to let Scutaro go so we can get the draft picks since he'll be a Type A free agent. If Doc goes to New York, we may aswell cancel the 2010 season and let them keep that trophy they're about to pick up for 2 years.

I think a lot will depend on how Pettitte goes on short rest. Utley does seem to like hitting the long ball off those lefties. Here's hoping he hits a couple more tonight.

Yeah it was a bit of a let down in the end. I would say roll on 2010 but tbh I'm expecting it to be pretty crap from a Jays perspective so perhaps not. Roll on Spring Training though.
