I dont think contracts should be given out solely on been available for every game in a season....

If a player is selected for all 27 league games and 3 cup games i would suggest he has maintained his form. Wouldnt you?
There is also a world of difference between been available for selection and actually been selected.

Dont agree with your argument. Think mitigating circumstances meant Mills played every game and I seem to remember surprise when a 2 year deal was handed to him.

I suppose last seasons non appearance and the call for a release by every man and his dog adds some weight to it not been the best move.

Sam Moa has just been given a 2 year contract on the back of his performances this season. Who is to say how he will perform next season? Nobody can predict the future.

Think the disappointing form of Crossman gave Mills more game time and your lack of depth at prop in general that year.

Last season when Vella got injured Mills must have thought 'here we go, I am in! time to maintain a bit of form....what do you mean Lovegrove is propping with netherton?'

Has Mills been given a fair crack since signing his deal or has Morgan changed his opinion big style?

Think Moa earned his contract by showing some 'good' form and he may well be gone at the end of next season, who knows, but I reckon he will need to play poorly to get released.

As i have said previously on this thread, Mills form has gone downhill fast this season and not taken advantage of any of his opportunities in first or reserve grade.
Doesnt change the fact he was worthy of the contract at the time it was offered.
