At the end of the day we've as much of a right to bid for anyone as say Bradford have.
How do you know what the terms of IL owning two teams were? As far as I know he has not found a buyer for his shares in Quins.
While he has stepped back from running Quins completely if he still technically owns them regardless of what right we have to bid I'd expect him to play the politically correct game and not do so.
IL is not one to incur the wrath of the RFL nor do stuff that would get Wigan seen as returning to Mo's ruthless ways IMO.

IL is not stupid enough to go into an agreement which puts him at a disadvantage to the rest of SL
With the way the RFL has bankrolled and brought Quins back from the brink of death on more than one occasion the last thing they would do is force a backer of Quins to pull out of them by trying to force his hand or put restrictions on him. If it was any other club imo that IL would have owned previously to buying Wigan the RFL would have been a hell of a lot more tough with him.
Obviously this is all just speculation on both parts from me and you Dave but I’d tend to believe that if a player was at Quins who IL really wanted we’d go for him if other clubs were sniffing around.
