Now there was a real band!, one of the best voice harmony groups of their time, sold over 50 million records and were the group that queen got their style of music from, sadly two of the sweet are no longer with us, Mick Tucker, drums, and Brian Connoly (lead singer and brother of tv character, Taggart, i did many a bop to their music in the discos of Hull during the seventies and early eighties

80's music CLASS

On Sunday in order to get through a marathon ironing session (sad I know, but it helped!!) I watched the Top 40 from the 80's on VH1.
What struck me was the diversity, there was New Order along side Musical Youth, George Michael, with and without Andrew Ridgley, Agadoo at number 28!!!, Culture Club, Jennifer Rush, Soft Cell, a couple of Frankie goes to Hollywood, class!!, just kept off the number 1 spot by Sir Bob and his gang with Feed the World.
Very therapeutic, apart from it being presented by David Van Day
