Honest answer, would you be happy finishing 8th next season, I suspect you personally would, however a lot of (newish) fans would not imo, have their expectations been raised to high. Catalans are a prime example, 3rd in third season, however a massive effort to finish 8th, though did a great job in the play-offs.
I personally believe it is not always where you finish though obviously in a play-off position, but how you play in the play-offs, I suspect this is an area Morgan will focus on next year.

Correct, although I was commenting on who would improve to finish above where you ended the regular season, ie 4th. Won't be us. There's a possibility we may make the 8, but we have to start gameplanning, picking the right team, using the bench properly and getting a better squad than last season to form a cohesive, well-drilled unit. With Agar in charge, you'd be mad to predict it will happen in 2010 as there's no evidence so far that he can do any of these.

Just hope Agar does
Next season will be a strange one, this year I thought we might finish top 6 with a bit of luck, next year I'd be surprised if we manage top 4 again. Not that it made any difference to this year!
Over the last three years we've managed to balance up our season year on year by minimising the mid season slump and trying to build as the season goes on. Next seasons aim should be to get in the eight in a position to be hitting form in mid/late September. I'd be happy with a home tie, so 5th or 6th I think is realistic and achievable as long as we avoid a massive (which would obviously have no affect on our season anyway ) injury crisis.

This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Totally straight forward then! Might as well book Malmaison in Manc now.

Why dont you get a life and go annoy the old faithful on the other site. This was about British coaches in SL not whether ROVERS FINISHED IN THE TOP FOUR AGAIN !!!!
keep on track and let us know whether you would like more British coaches in SL or not

I'd like there to be British coaches capable of success in SL. Sadly there aren't any. Noble is the best one but is now at the worst team.

A play off finish would be okay be me personally.
It would indicate stability and in 2011 Rovers will have lots of cap to work with to improve the squad further based on OOC players at the end of next season as well as giving them more time to develop Scott Taylor and one or 2 others.
