And you lot slagged us off for it.
BUT now the saints fan have a totally different take on it..it seems they dont blame them not turning up because they were underdogs..but in 02 it was a bad excuse and we should be ashamed.

Fair play. Those who sledged are caught out on this one, so yes, I agree.
I was in the North stand not far from the Stretford end and the Saints support was poor compared to the Leeds support. The second tier of the Stretford End wasn't half full and there was many Leeds supporters in the Saints end too.

Shame that rather than knock the Saints fans more people aren't congratulating Leeds for their fantastic turn out.

Don't forget, though, that a lot of the Leeds support around the sides of the ground was not from Leeds fans. I saw a hell of a lot of other clubs' supporting Leeds from where I was sitting (behind the sticks, Saints end). About three quarters of Old Trafford were cheering on the Whinos, which is always encouraging as a Saints fan, obviously, but not all of them were Whinos fans.

I wonder why ?????????
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.......
I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.

Very sensible I must say
WIGAN RLFC IS MORE THAN A RUGBY CLUB - IT'S A RELIGION There will always be a Wigan Warriors no matter what the bitter & twisted blues say
