Who else is going?..I've only been to one other GF the Leeds v Bradford one where Morley had a short spell at Bradford...

Apart form the city centre where is good near Old Trafford for pre match drinks?..

The Trafford pub and the Bishop Blaze (wetherspoons) are usually rammed before the game...

nay. cant go a final when your own teams not in it. as the young knives say "whats the point whats the point? "

The City centre might not be such a good place this year as there is an English Defence League march, the last one in Birmingham sparked a bit of unrest with the muslim community IIRC.

Me and my mate going, sitting in the south stand.

Heard about that English Defence League march they caused mayhem in Brum,if it kicks off in Manchester hope it's not blamed on R L fans, you know what some papers are like given the chance.

At City, my season ticket in the second tier means an average cost of £21 a game to see what is now a very entertaining game in a league where attacking football finally seems to have won the day over defensive tactics

Contrast that with an average of about £16 to stand in a tip at Knowsley Road to watch the inane dullness that the modern safety first, one dimensional British game of Rugby League has become and I know where I get greater value for money.

MANCHESTER CITY - PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 2011-12
BORUSSIA DORTMUND - BUNDESLIGA CHAMPIONS 2011-12
CELTIC - SPL CHAMPIONS 2011-12
ALEMANNIA AACHEN - HOPELESS 2011-12
ST. HELENS RLFC - ER.. 3 OUT OF 5 AIN'T BAD!

That is cheap, cheaper than the North stand at Warrington. I also agree with that comment on dullness.

Went last year with some Leeds fans, but this time taking a Union fan who wants to learn more about League. Will be in the P&B!

As for pubs, avoid the Trafford and the Bishop Blaize, I'd say. Best is the Knott next to Deansgate, great beer from the Marble Brewhouse.

I live five minutes on the tram in the other direction, so I'll be loading up in the pubs of Sale beforehand :D
