Probably more worrying is how few BS teams have youth teams which does seem shortsighted in my book.

cant you play trialists in these competitons?

well we dont have a reserve team but we have a big enough squad to be able to only have to play 4 players that play every week.

FC came from 3-1 down to beat Stocksbridge Park Steels yesterday. Superb performance, just a few defensive mistakes that stopped us from running away with it.

Noticed that

Ilkeston drew 1-1 in a very poor game...2 sendings off but not really the passion on or off the pitch you would expect from a local derby (12 o'clock start did not help) but hopefully it will be made up for on Tuesday in the replay.

Halifax dominated the first half we were too quick to skillful.

the second half though. we had some good spells but they hit the post 2 times and one of them it came back to there stricker who then missed the rebound from 2 yards. in the last round the opposition hit the post a couple of times maybe we are destined to go far in the fa cup this year.

a good ground as well 1500.

same as last round though i think that we can beat anyone at home in the next round. i would be less confident away against a conference but at the minute if we drew anyone in the next round at home i would think that we had a chance.

good luck to Ilkeston in the replay. maybe we might meet in the nxt round if you get through.

Earlier in the season I'd have been happy with Fax, the way they have played in recent games I'd prefer a Redditch or other poorish Conference North side.

After an hour it looked as though Eastwood were certs as they were one up and we were down to 10 men but fair play we made them pay for their negative tactics and not killing us off so hopefully we can go there and win the replay.

after 65 mins of our game today our manager took our best winger off and brought a centre back on, luckily we didnt pay for that but i dont know why he did it.

strangly enough the last few games we havent been playing that well and winning games by 1 goal. 4-3 at trafford last weekend and 1-0 today. we played nice passing football in the first half today but only took 1 of the many chances we had in the first half, we are getting tired now with all these games.

now we have a game on tuesday and a game next saturday both at home and then the league away 2 days after that. it doesnt get any easier playing all these games.

fair call to not want us i doubt anyone would want us at this stage after 2 shall we call them giant killings in the last 2 rounds.

like i said i beleive we can beat anyone in the next round as long as we get them at home

If we can keep 11 men on the pitch we should be ok as they were no great shakes and should have gone for it when 1 up and with the man advantage but were very negative and paid the price

even worse news for Halifax is that the next round is on the 24th of this month and were supposed to be playing in the league on that day which means that will be postponed. which means were going to be 5 games behind the top 2 teams in the league and were still unbeaten. imagine being unbeaten in the league after 9 games having won 8 of them and still not being top.
