wigan have punched well above their weight for the past three seasons, and in my opinion most of this is down to Noble. He has proved at wigan, and Bradford before that, that he is the master at getting a team to peak at just the right time of the season. Had he had a better than average squad to work with at the Piedome, then I have no doubt wigan would have made it to Old Trafford at least once in recent years, and quite possibley ended as champions!

Wigan are the Vince McMahon of the rugby world. They hatch some plan or think they have got one up on someone. Only for it to spectacularly backfire.

If they do appoint McGuire, watch cherry&white for declarations of him being the greatest manager ever in the history of sport. Then within a year they will be baying for his blood.

Seems to be the thinking down here too. Mixed feelings around the Storm camp. I feel noble has done pretty well at wigan given the talenbt available so abyone elso coming in is gonna have a tough time meeting the expectation of the fans to take them to the next level.

A well paid job no douibt but if he fails it'll be impossible for him to come back here into a head coac role. This could kill his career.
