If Hull where not in a position to sign him why does that acticle state that Wigan would release him to play for Hull for the remainder of 08. Dykes may well have got an early pay off also to enable that also as by that stage of the season it was blatently obvious his body was knackered and they had dropped a clanger in signing him. Hull also brought in an overseas James Webster during that season so your claim about then not being able to sign Dobson is wrong But if it makes you happy keep believing your version.
Dobson's agent clearly played a good hand here. Wigan and Hull were both interested, but as Noble said at the time, "We offered a chocolate bar, they (Rovers) offered the whole factory". The article says "raises the possibility" of the loan option though, not that it had been validated as viable. Since Hull and Wigan apparently tabled similar deals, it may have been an option before Rovers came in with a better offer.
I don't see this "proof" that Hull could accomodate what Rovers paid Dobson under the cap. Rovers paid Dobson his "whole factory" salary from round 14 in May. FC didn't sign Webster until July when he hoped to debut in the July derby, so at best would have played 7 games, and then clearly not on the same rate Dobson was on. As for the point about the overseas place, surely you can't have forgotten the passport saga and the fact the deal was contingent on the British passport which arrived with one game left?

I'm gonna spit all over you, by accident of course.
the bottom line is, hull huddersfeild and wigan all tabled an offer in for dobson varying between £10,000. then what happened was rovers tabled an offer far superior to these. the question is ' if kr tabled a similar offer as them 3, would dobson even be playing for a hull team??' personally i reckon he would be playing in red and white but not in hull.
if it was fc and kr though that only went in for him and both tabled the same offer, who do you think he would be playing for? id say fc, he would have the perks of decent training facilities, awesome stadium and bigger crowds, fair enough it was the start of our crop period that were still in but you was crap until you got him and it could be of been us in the top four this year but oh well thats rugby league, take the good with the bad

Hull wanted dobson for 2009, he had to come in 2008. Ignore the facts all you want but you know I'm right.
