its the stayin fit part at 33 that might be tough (you dont have best of luck with injuries anyway) and i'm not certain but he must have missed at least 35% of games from last 2 or 3 seasons with injury. if fit should lead an improved pack well

A big part of him coming to Hull will be the role he plays bringing on the likes of Turner, Tansey, Washbrook and freeing up Richard Horne. The best thing I've read so far from his book is the slating he gave Noble for not doing enough ball skills in training and not establishing a gameplan 4 days before a game. Considering we appear not to do any gameplanning whatsoever, I'm hoping he uses his influence to demand we start doing so. Given his career to date, I think it's fair to say there are interesting times ahead at FC. Could be a huge success or a massive disaster, but doubt it will be quiet mediocrity.

I know Longy has been a great player and if Hull are lucky he'll have another 2 or so left in him, but there seems a lot of talk about his influence with the younger players and his presence in the dressing room. I was just wondering if this will be the case as he comes across as a bit of a law unto himself and in a way is this the kind of player who will impart knowledge or in a way even know how he does what he does or is it all abit of well 'I just know'.
I may be well off the mark but he seems the type that if it all goes wrong may be more of a disruptive influence rather than insperational.

very true, although i support rovers i'm a rugby league fan and after the banter i can give an opinion even if it pains me to praise others, i will say who i think was the beter team etc. shame theres too many after point scoring on here

You are right,he comes across as a bit of a maverick,but there is no doubting his class.Maybe he has matured a bit with age?
