morgan is a petulant child, I've never said welham is the worst centre in SL, just that he is nowhere near the best of the younger ones, and I've already seen tony smith's team sheet for the 1st test

Gibson is harsh too. Watkins and Tom Briscoe likely will be if they are able to fulfil their potential. Sean Gleeson, Hall and Cudjoe I'd put on a similar level to Welham.
Briscoe is streets ahead already and is 3 years younger.

Massive talent by all accounts. But of the 25 SL games he's played so far, a good few have been on the wing. Tyrer was the next big thing at one point.

Just to be clear, I expect Tom Briscoe to be very good. Just because Welham may not be as good doesn't mean he is not good. Constant comparison between players at the two Hull clubs is not the fairest or best way to judge them. I do it, of course, but if we binned all the players not good enough to get in the other's best 17, we'd be playing 9s. And you're good at 9s, so I don't want that.

They weren't breaks, they were him picking up loose balls and he got caught on one of them anyway despite the fact that the opposition had to turn around to give chase. yeaman is slug slow but he's still quicker than welham. Could you see welham going the full length evading tackles like Briscoe has proven he can?
