Personally i think Vella is a victim of having to carry a go forward of late. galea did a lot of the work early season and then has vanished for the 2nd half of the year. Newton has been largely inconsistent. Wheeldon is still average and Macca and Lovegrove etc do their best. Mills is a pudding. Fozzard is over the hill.
Theyve really put pressure on Vella up front.
He was/is also still one of the quickest members for rovers squad. He started as a winger you know. 
We certainly need some more props next year.
