I actually said "...over all sots of things". In our case, it was pretty well everything BUT the crowds - although even then we kept being told half of us were Halifax...
Generally the play-offs this season haven't been well supported. It isn't fault of Huddersfield nor the other teams involved. People prefer to place the blame then look at the reality of the matter because it's easier.
In my opinion the play-off series should be something to be cheerished. It should be a great acheievement to just qualify, something that doesn't happen to a club that often. But 8 out of 14 teams make it, a side can make it who doesn't turn up for a large part of the season. For me that isn't excellence.
Because 8 teams qualify, it means a side might have to win 3 games just to make Old Trafford (some of which might be away, Catalan for example). It isn't always easy to come across that money, especially when you have other priorities (e.g. family).
To get bigger gates, more excitment and higher intensity, i'd like to see a top 5. Less games, more intensity, more importance should increase attendences

Apologies, the thread is titled 'crowd' so though you possibly meant your crowds! Half of you were Halifax too!

Like I said not having a pop but i think i make a fair point. From an outsiders (fax fan) point of view you are heading in the right direction and if you keep up the good work the crowds should come.
well i was at fartown and i know of a good few hundred who still chant fartown, but thats not the point is it? unless you know the meaning of fartown probably best not to comment on it?
crowds will come yes but we need to keep them coming!

I can't understand the obsession with fans from other clubs who constantly bemoan the fact we chant Fartown at each game. I've known the team as Fartown for over forty years and my parents, who still attend, for over sixty. It's a nickname for goodness sake. It will always be a nickname wherever we play. It might mean jack poop to you but to us, Fartown has been a huge part in our lives and will continue to be so, just as it will be for new fans who support our, (not some other club with no link, ties or interest to rugby league in Huddersfield) but our club, who continue to chant the nickname. Not the official name but a 'nickname'.
If we chanted Baracudas or Eagles then they might have a point but we don't and unfortunately it seems some people will never learn. Maybe we should stop singing about Claret and Gold because the TV pundits think we play in Amber at times...,or Maroon even ? Alternatively, other fans could STFU.
