IL's by far the most communicative chairman Wigan has ever had. He holds regular forums, he even posts on this message board - he seems to go out of his way to be an okay bloke. And yet we still get comments worthy of CP Wigan, or whatever he's calling himself these days - 'sneering'. Totally pathetic.
Certainly my opinion on IL is that he should be judged on results only. That will incorporate the money making side (sponsorship dealings, shirt sales etc) and the players he signs. I dont care if he did a forum at the apollo every week or had a twitter account to rival Stephen Fry. If he runs the club properly and keeps us up there at the top and within the salary cap. Then Mr Lenegan will be doing his job. Saying all this though I dont expect the guy to do miricales we should be giving IL time to trim the fat and mould the club into the one we as supporters want.

Interesting the way you phrase it, though. A fan asks IL a question at the forum, and because IL provides an answer that you don't want to hear, he's 'sneering'. Pathetic attitude, mate.
I was the fan at the forum that asked the question about Ainscough ,i dont think that i was outspoken i just asked a question about his contract being renewed when the squad was shown on the screen .I like many on here thought that his contract was up at the end of the year and was surprised by the answer he gave that he had already re signed a new one no way did i think IL jeered at me .

Thanks for clearing that up Ian
Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.
The first two yeah but deffo not any of the others!!!

Sorry i didn't realise that you had to have a certain number of posts before you were considered worthy?!
Simply because I choose when and when not to post and don't run my mouth like others on the board, doesn't mean my sources are not accurate!
I would hope that Shaun resigns but I have been told that a number of other clubs have been looking to sign him up and although he was offered a contract mid-season like Sam, he didn't sign it as he was waiting to see what happened on the coaching situation?
I remember the question being asked at the FForum but I thought IL said Ainscough has signed a three year deal last year and was in the first year of it. That's how I thought it went.
BTW about IL.
I think he's the best Chairman as far as fans go in a very long while and I can't think of one better. Mo's trophy record will take some beating and IL may or may not do it. He's still a very good chairman IMO.
Bloody Hell we'd all moan if we had either of the Hetheringtons. They are not just bad or awful. both of them must be the worst of all time!
"Ah knows Rugby League ah does" is the attributed quote to one of them!
No guesses for which one though!

You are not wrong there. After my pet hate (none other than Nigel Wood at the RFL) G Hetherington is right up there. Can't stand him and its nothing to do with Leeds recent successes either.

Didn't he run a marathon to raise money for the signing of Lee Jackson?
