In the space of 24 hours while Hudgell and all around him were busy rubbishing the story?
Seems unlikely.

We played him immediately when he got off the plane and was unfit. We then dropped him as his fitness neared full. Then it took massive injuries to bring him back, where he performed, amongst a team of tomdroolery. If you get him, I will be disgusted. I reckon this lad is a future star. I mean that. I want to keep him.
I'll go with that, you've obviously seen a lot more of him than me.
He certainly looks to have potential, combined with power and a low centre of gravity and if he can defend as well as some of you think at 23 he's surely worth more than a one year deal?
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

No he has potential however he also has a lot to work on, fitness, ball security, he needs another season before a balanced assesment can be gained imo.
