Sounds about right, I got a replacement screen for a laptop to fit myself and it cost $100 from the US. Wouldn't reccomend trying it though, got myself into a right mess.

Wasn't planning on sending it a birthday card, mate. Just wondered if you were still coverd by any warranty. Probably still worth the repair if it's under a couple of years old. Otherwise, in this throw-away age, you may as well cut your losses and buy a new one.

Yeah, i'll have to find out how old. Not paying £150 if I can get a new laptop for a bit more. Some on offer at moment too.
