As i mentioned, i went for the whole squad as to save the "he didn't play" or "he is in australia" argument. As I also mentioned for Catalancs benefit was that i went for overseas players, not Australians.

6 from 17 isn't too bad. not considering one of the etranger spots is taken up by Perry, and another Croker, who I said last year we could be making a mistake by re-signing him. We did, he has not performed.

Only three of those are Aussies and one (Cayless) has now left due to his injury. Meli and Puletua are Kiwi/Samoan. Fa'asavalu no longer counts as on the quota because he is a British resident. We will be getting Soli-wotsits next season but he's a Samoan too. We seem to prefer Pacific Islanders to Aussies. More bang for the buck I suppose. So next season we will have five overseas players (of which Gidley and Flannery are Aussies).

TBF Iestyn wouldn't know an Australian from a Kiwi, the point is "look at all those forrigners proping them up" so it is back to the usual "how many forrign players youz got?".

Where I prefer to make a different distinction than Cala is to look at players on the ground, rather than players in the total squad. If we look at players in the whole squad, we should really count as a percentage of total squad, with our squad being massive ...
