That's pretty much how I see it too. If you're after a cheap curry on a small budget that you'll enjoy, the Karachi is fine. There is no way though that it is a really good curry.

I'll stick to the International or Punjab for now.

I've been into the Karachi twice recently, both times it has been distinctly average.

I'll probably be having my last (decent) curry for six months at some point next week so I need to make sure I pick somewhere that doesn't let me down, maybe I should have one a night until I am totally satisfied!

Take a notepad with you. Take somebody with you who you give a stupid nickname to. Talk in a southern accent about the Fat Duck. You'll get great service.

Anyone been in the Rawal lately? That used to be great years ago.

Went a few weeks ago.

The starters, particularly the chicken tikka off the bone were as good as ever.

Mains were ok - wouldn't get too excited about them, but nothing wrong with them either.

I think it's all a personal taste thing in Bradford when you've got so many to choose from.

I've generally frequented Rawals, Omar Khan's, Nawwab, Kashmir and International over the years - still never been to the Karachi.

I'll volunteer to go and you can call me "Tufty" or "Gussie" or something.

To be correct your name needs to be prefixed by "The". We've had 'The Idiot' recently. I like the sound of The Gussie. On your expense account.

I'd only go with someone I could call Jarryd.

Went toi the Shimla Spice in Shipley for the first time a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. Massive choice of dishes, great family nans and you can take you own wine in too.

Only went because the Aagrah was full. For which I am now very grateful!

(and I feel fine)

I like the grub in there too but it was a bit noisy when I was there. There was party quite pi55ed people in there at the time and the total lack of any soft furnishing made the noise bounce around like crazy. I had to yell to make myself heard!

Good curry tho.
