a full strength rovers would have struggled against leeds last night, they're champs 2 years running for a reason ffs.
but take brent webb out, sinfield out, senior out, leuleuia out (equivalent of briscoe, murrell, webster and galea position wise) then also whoever brent webbs direct replacement would have been, then another centre after 10 minutes. leeds would be a lot weaker. any side would, saints et all.
its not an excuse as injuries are part of the game. but for such a big game it was bad timing to say the least and it made us a weaker team on the night.
But they still put us to the sword even tho we had a good go.
effort was still there to be seen.

Luck, by definition, is beyond your control. Whether it is a pass controversially called forward in a derby, a run or a glut of injuries or being allowed to stay in a competition you could/should have been thrown out of, you have to make the most of it or do your best in spite of it.
Rovers did what they could with the resources available last night and it was not enough. We had some bad luck, but we know we've had some good before and undoubtedly will have more of both types in the future.
Luck is important, I'd be the first to admit, but there's nowt you can do about it so there is no point worrying about it.
Edit - recognizing the difference between luck and performance is important to avoid panic or rectify problems. They say there are only two types of investors - clever and unlucky. Nobody ever admits to being simply lucky or stupid. Rovers were unlucky yesterday, but we can't let that blind us to the improvements needed to match a team like Leeds.

If you read my post without those I'm-going-to-disagree-because-he's-a-Rovers-fan glasses on you'll see I said injury situations are different and how you can deal with them are different. I didn't say anything about them being worse.
No you didnt. You clearly said losing 4 players running up to a playoff game is different (meaning worse) than having players missing all season. You insinuated that you were worse off than we had been. I dont deliverately disagree with Rovers fans if you read my other posts on here, i can generally have a good conversation when you aren't talking garbage!!

Webb, Sinfield, Senior and Leulaui out, we'd have lined up like this:
3. Lee Smith
2. Scott Donald
29. Mike Ratu
23. Kallum Watkins
5. Ryan Hall
6. Danny McGuire
7. Rob Burrow
16. Ryan Bailey
9. Danny Buderus
10. Jamie Peacock
11. JJB
17. Ian Kirke
19. Carl Ablett
12. Ali Lauitiiti
14. Matt Diskin
19. Luke Burgess
21. Simon Worrall

quite possibly be a good enough team to beat us but still weaker is the point i was making. it wasn't dig in any respect. it also shows how squad depth is important

Exactly and i think IF they all return then you can challenge.
In particular last night you really missed briscoe and murrell.
I saw the interview with justin morgan and he said that gene played with injections whats happened to mills and aizue?????

Justin deems them not good enough so they don't get picked, I admit it is a strange one but i'm willing to trust him
HULL KINGSTON ROVERS is my religion, Craven Park is my church and Jordan Abdull is my God

Well he's got you a top 4 spot so i guess he knows what he's doing.
It did seem strange that he'd have a player having jabs rather than those 2 because i think in particular aizue tends to add impact.
