Agreed and the annoying thing is that they could have used the same idea, cut the cheese out and made it 10000000x better.

And another point on the utterly awful Smackdown this week - it would be nice if Khali would at least try and sell something.

Seriously though on the Teddy Long stuff - who on earth approves this crap? Its not as if its live and they can't do anything about it!

Another SD point, whats with this Mr Ziggles rubbish? Morrison just sounds awkward when he's saying it, and it's never going to catch on like the you suck chants did with Angle.

it's just another example of the bad writing that is killing the wwe. what is wrong with letting the wrestlers do their own promos? give them direction, maybe a line or 2 that might help their character/angle get over more but don't script little thing. these guys AREN'T ACTORS. learning lines is not something they teach in most wrestling schools.

If you don't believe me about unscripted promos being better try looking up some of Mick Foley's anti-hardcore promos from his ECW days on a certain video sharing website. Two words for your search "Cane Dewey"

When you're a Bradford fan there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Unfortunately it's usually an oncoming train

Shane Douglas' bridge burning shoots were awesome, too. As were Jamie Dundee's (was that his name?) little pre-match promos. Devon was so good on the stick, too, before the gag was put on him.

You can say that, but, most of the guys on the WWE roster...i'm talking everyone apart from:

Hunter
Jericho
Taker
HBK
Regal
Christian
Edge

came up from the WWE's 'Development' territory. Now a few pottered about on the 'Indie' scene before they were signed up [Punk, Harry Smith, TJ Wilson etc] but none have the background of working the territories that the older guys had. The territories are where you honed your craft and being a sculpted performer before you move up to the big one that is WWE. The new guys just don't have this advantage, so never come up to the WWE roster as a finished, polished product. The have no idea about promos and about ring psychology. This is why WWE sucks. Not the writers, not the corny backstage skits. It's tje fact that when, in a few years, the guys i've mentioned have all retired WWE will be full of guys who have simply come up through developmental. Not really a positive future for Pro Wrestling, really.

Don't let your love turn to hate
Now we've got to keep the faith
