No handouts, no merger, no shiny new stadium, we have our own identity , we have our "home", but most of all we have our pride and dignity because we did it all on our own, unlike Gateshull Est.1999.

I do , but as long as we have the Gateshull trolls on here i will defend my club.
Fact is they are bitter after three years in SL we are the top team, why the problem?.

What problem?
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

The Eve of the War
NO one would have believed in the first years of the twentyfirst century that Superleague was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences far greater than Hull FC directors; that as FC fans busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as a man with a microscope might scrutinise the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacency Hull FC went to and fro about their little affairs, serene in their assurance of their empire in Hull. It is possible that the infusoria under the microscope did the same. No one gave a thought to the other club in Hull as a source of Superleague dominance in this city, or thought of them only to dismiss the idea of them in Superleague as impossible or improbable. It is curious to recall some of the mental habits of those departed days. At best some FC fans fancied there might be another club in Hull, perhaps inferior to themselves but ready to welcome them to Superleague. Yet across the gulf of time, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded themselves as going to be the best team in the city, and slowly and surely drew their plans against them, survive, consolidate, challenge. And early in the twentyfirst century came the great disillusionment for Hull FC

FFS will you please change that avatar - You've taken something which a class guy (Graften Red, not me ) spent time doing and turned it into something odd which makes no f'ing sense.

leave him be, it must have taken him all week at job seekers to modify that piece of art, as long as he is there or on here, he is not out robbing.

We kept our identity , said NO to the merger, never ever forget we did it on our own merit,we won promotion to the Super League after winning a Grand Final we believed .

On your own but with Neil Hudgell's money, you mean? You've got him to thank for your transition this past few years and without him you'd probably still be outside of SL.
Most clubs at some point in their history have needed help, whether that be from the sports governing body, local councils or a sugar daddy.
