Just watched the highlights, he isn't fighting for anything so he might as well push it trying to get a better position.

I can never work out how important an emphasis teams place on the constructors championship, if McLaren want to do better in that they might be hacked off with him, but I'm not sure it's much of an issue.

Breaking news on the BBC .... Renault plead guilty to the Piquet race-fixing allegations.

Dodgy Flav steps down. Cheif Engineer to go too.

I mean, asking a bloke to crash on purpose .... Scandalous

I know F1 is scrabbling around to keep marquee names on the grid for 2010, but to me Renault should be looking at a significant ban from the championship for this.

Given we've all seen the unfortunate consequences having debris on the track can have for those drivers not involved in an incident, deliberately placing it on there by ordering a driver to crash is about as low as it gets in terms of disregard for the welfare of others.

They were very stupid to do what they have done and a ban would be appropriate but that would also punish those that would not have had any inkling....if that is possible to be ignorant as to what is going on. Oh sod it - they should be banned as someone could have been injured or even killed.

Y'know, the more I see the Piquet Jnr crash in Singapore from last year, the more blatant it looks.

Hope Renault get the book thrown at them!!! :x :x :x

On a brighter note, welcome back to F1, Lotus!! :D :D :D In an age of so many soulless millionaires funding teams that almost try to copy each other, (namely Red Bull/Toro Rosso) its so good to have a proper team, with so much history and prestige return. Don't believe me, then ask Sir Stirling Moss, Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell and even Mika Hakkinen.
