Seriously, it would be intriguing to see him given his chance. The obvious downside for him is that should it turn sour he will have lost everything - is it a risk woth taking from his point of view?
That would concern me. If, for instance, he was given a caretaker-coach role while we were waiting for someone else to divest himself of his current job, it could backfire badly. If Wane does a good job ... what do we do: cancel the new guy's contract and back Wane (which, if the new guy was going to be someone special, would be a mistake IMO), or push Wane back into his former role, which might pee him off and send him elsewhere.
