the game on saturday was just like the one last season at wakey. the crowd was flat the team did,nt click and to think we needed the win to keep 3rd spot all in all it was a very big let down. lets hope its onwards and upwards from now.

Anyone who thinks Leeds are off their game right now is crazy!! Leeds were 24-12 up against Salford after been 12 nil down, Leeds also had 2 trys chalked off that with a vid ref could well have Been given. With four of our best players out the kids did well.
We had Murrell, Webster, Cockayne and Fozzard missing, Briscoe off after 20 mins and galea injured for most of the 2nd half. We played awfully and had we fox not bombed 2 sitters and had the vid ref disallowed a blatant no try for Obst and a wiped out a good try by Colbon then we would have won a game we had no right to. Theres no excuses there as I said we were well off the pace and Wakey seemed to want it more.
I think we needed a performance like that to knock any illusions out of us that we were going to walk into the play offs and find it easy, a lot will be saying that we have no chance now and hopefully a lot of other teams will think the same. Hopefully we now will knuckle down and pull together as a team. I think we'll get beat on Friday but we need to produce a performance on Friday to set us up for the rest of the play offs.

TBF though,Wakefield also had numerous players missing(Drew,Snitch,Gleeson,George,Martin) and had two kids on the wings.Wakefield also lost Brough and the Newton try was as dubious as the Obst try.
Personally i dont think either team played to their potential,Wakefield just "out enthused"your guys.

Fozzard was missing by choice.
Motto of the week -
It is the way of the weak to secretly bleat to those in authority rather than fight their own battles.

Fully agree and it was no way an excuse, just get the feeling it was one of those matches were the players weren't up for it at all.
I wonder how much having the end of season awards during the week up to a match has an adverse effect on preparation. Hopefully it does as it's the Leeds on tonight.

I think we will see a different approach from both Wakefield and Hull kr this week.

In all honesty I think it like this, if both teams are at their very best Leeds win, if Leeds are at their best and hull kr arnt it will be a long night for you guys, if you are at your best and Leeds arnt kr win!! I have no doubt if Leeds don't dig deep kr can win!! but you need to bring your A game anythng else just won't cut it
