I agree Trace. During the warm up a few of them were playing around, Cookie squirting water at Murrell, just didn't seem switched on from the very start.

A poor performance all round Im afraid, hopefully it will give them a kick up the jacksey for next week.

The injuries however are the more important factor as poor performance can be rectified at training between now and the next game.

Wakefield simply played percentage Rugby and it worked for them on the night.
Carry the ball towards Rovers end, kick and then wait for the mistake.

In response to the OP, Stan has been out for 10 games, so match fitness, timing etc will all have been a factor.

Like Justin said, if they are ready for next week they are ready if not then it's up to the boys who come in to step up to the plate. Injurys happen and we have to deal with it instead of harping on about it and feeling sorry for ourselves

We are in the S/L playoffs, hullfc are not, who would have thought that 4 years ago? I'm happy at our progression no matter what happens in the PLAYOFFS.....very very happy.

We were rubbish with ball in hand, that is not influenced by the opposition, they don't make you knock on with no-one near you, or throw passes into touch when you have the line beckoning, that is all our own doing. Wakey played very well last night and and had a lot more ideas in attack as well as defended really well. The bounce of the ball was also favourable to you, a couple of time your passes went astray, but instead of the ball going into touch or going forward, they went into positions that could be recovered.

We can play better, thats a fact based on previous weeks and I am sure if we meet in round 2 at our place you will see a much different Rovers team.

On the whole you were much better than us last night, only an idiot would say different, but we made so many unforced errors you really should have had 50 past us. The last time we played that bad was against Quins at home and they went on to score over 40 points. I doubt you will get the same opportunities in another meeting between us.
