I think that quote was a part of the act.
I also cant see channel 4 giving up an hour to say it was a split screen either It will be incredibly simple, it always is.
It's all to do with the amount of times certain balls have and haven't been drawn and the laws of probability that dictate which should be drawn. He's probably got a team who have done research on every single lottery draw and then worked out patterns and such-like and they have come up with 5 numbers that should be drawn in accordance with the laws of probability.
