Myler and Turner both went for more money and the greener grass else where, well so long we don't want to pay over the odds for potential.

No real surprises and much of this is natural wages.
Hope the club work hard to find extra sponsorship and sign some good young British players.
Swain adn Cashmere are a step up for our imports.
Most definately i'd offer Stapo and Phil two year deals to keep them till the next round of franchises are announced.
Sorry what people seem to be forgetting is that Myler, Turner, Paul, Stapo, Wilshere, Walton, Littler and Sibbet are currently earning decent wages which the club will not be haveing to pay releaseing what must surely be a decent ammount for the payment of other players, throw in the fees that we have recived for the two youngesters then surely a decent signing or two in needed areas are not beyond us.

I hate it when people do that - call themselves fans then just complain about their team. If you are a fan you support the club all the time. You want success for the club if you are a fan, so you don't throw in the towel and stop supporting them, you go to matches, you get behind the team, you get your friends down, you buy from the club. Fans can't change everything about a club but we can certainly help a lot.
I am intitled to comment on what i think i see at the time you might see it diffrently. its free speech these days. The reason i am so vexed of the last year was the way the club treated karl harrison. Since he as gone we have gone backwards and the rugby is very poor. And just fed up of supporting a team where your just throwing money in to a sinking ship in my eyes. Thats my opinion and that is my reasons. Dont tell me you have never saw red when the club plays crap just read all of your comments when you lot were slagging the team off. to me the team strarts at the top with the board. and that is why i aint going to throw money away. Its not an easy decition as i love rugby league but what have we ever achived in super league other than six once and five.

You are indeed entitled to comment - but if all you do is whinge and moan with no constructive thought then don't be surprised if others on here get a little pi**ed off with the constant whines.
If you have really, and finally, and without chance of changing your mind decided to stop supporting and watching Salford - then for gods sake stop posting on here - go and drag someone else down.
Lets wait & see what new players are coming in before we pass judgement! I not the coaches biggest fan but he has been around a long time & I am sure he as put is plan together, I will wait & see before slagging off.

I think it is more the juvenile way you describe things sometimes, I agree that you are entitled to your oppinion and as a result my fellow posters on here are entitled to voice an opinion on your efforts.
Mine are that you are wrong about Harrison, we were in dire trouble when he left, I doubt that Harrison is cut out to be a SL coach but in my view would make a wonderfull addition as a defensive coach/consultant to our set up.

a)you can have your opinion - it's a right
b)you can express it subject to the usual rules of legislation and manners
c) no one has the duty to take it as correct nor seriously.
So, I am saying I have supported the Red Devils for 43 years. I am grey and old - as you have used your experience to support your comments, I will ...

As Martin Luther King once said,
"I have a Dream....."
and also an opinion, I too sometimes wonder about the coach, but in my lifetime, I have only known the club beat Leeds at Headingly twice and one of them was this year.
What we can afford is not a lot, but we have/had poss two of the best young Half backs in the SL (opinion), when we did throw the ball about we looked good, with a few more additions next year and another years experience in Ratchford, Adamson and Nash (not the band) we will improve on this year and surprise a few people, and when the start date on the stadium is announced the club will grow. The reccession is other we have got through it, now lets build for the future, we are the Manchester (hate to say it) club in Super League, we are the only City Club this side of the Pennines so N77, if you don't won't to be a part of it (another song) go, walk out the door, your not needed anymore. Find another hobby to moan about, as HR says you cut your cloth by what you can afford and make the best use.

And if Salford had announced those three signings - a 34 year old, a 31 year old and an Aussie who, apparently, blobbed his coach - there'd be people on here moaning about how they prove the club are in crisis.
Someday, somewhere, today’s empires are tomorrow’s ashes.
I've missed a fair few games this year for the first time since I started going in the early 80's.... the reason.... boredom. The team have become boring and The Willows experience has become even worse. I've stood in the Shed since I was a teenager... when it was rockin every week... now.... it's rare. I found myself yawning and clock watching... looking forward to the 80th minute cropping up so I can go home. I can handle losing... but watching the garbage that we have had to watch this season is not exactly inspiring to spend the money on... if you were watching a film as boring... you'd turn it off. It's not about results and who we've beaten. I'm not bothered we've beaten Saints and Leeds... I'd be just as happy to beat Harlequins and Celtic if the rugby is good. We pay to be entertained. Loyalty doesn't come into it... I was bored when we were winning. I lost most of the interest after Edinburgh when McRae told me that this was how we are going to play for the rest of the year because we don't have the skill to do it any other way.... What a kick in the nuts that was.
I'm not happy with the tactics, and not happy with the effort. When I'm being entertained I can justify the £17 to watch. When I'm not... I'd sooner spend that money on my family.
