And herein lies the difference between Hull and Rovers at present. You'd prefer to sign a "big name" who has been there, done it, and worn the jersey regardless of their current age/fitness.
Rovers on the other hand sign players with something to prove and a desire for success, at an age where they are not over the hill and coming into their prime.

The harsh reality for you is that your club has signed 2 rejects from the wooden spooners.
Both players coming from such a losing culture will fit right in...
wouldnt say that 34 games for australia,21 SOO games for nsw,1 clive churchill medal,5 grand finals and 463 NRL games between them makes them losers in my opinion...
.......were all rugby fans here, so show these guys some respect for there achievemnets as i do for your lot..
lovegrove...0 games for st george,
vella ...11 SOO and 11 oz caps
galea...1 gf win
newton...1 gf win
dobson...20 games for canberra
ps..i didnt include fitzy as he wont be there next season...

He's a top player and one I wouldn't mind seeing in a Rovers shirt, but big names with impressive cv's don't always win you games, as you well know.

It's the difference between 3rd and 12th.
GAME, SET AND MATCH
HULL KINGSTON ROVERS is my religion, Craven Park is my church and Jordan Abdull is my God
