Could get even better as he was signed before he was 21 and i have heard murmering aff him being counted as a homegrown. That would be just wrong and i wouldn't agree with that in the spirit of the game ect.
As far as I now understand it Kev any player who is classed as being able to legally work here (British,European passports) and kolpac's who were contracted by a SL club before feb 08 will on contract renewal/Or new contract with another club willl be allowed to apply and recive fed trained status, That status will stay with them even if they change clubs.

When it was first announced it looked like every import who signed pre 08 would be able to receive this exemption that has been clarified as untrue as far as I understand it.
It has been confirmed that Rhys counts as Homegrown as long as he continues to be registred with HKR on leaving us he will be classed as fed trained and then if he came back to HKR he would be then still classed as fed trained.
